 ArtSaturna--In a Group

 

Each month all year ArtSaturna, a group of visual artists working on Saturna Island, installs shows by different member artists here at the Saturna Café. For the 2022 finale, ArtSaturna is pleased to present works by various of its members.

 

The mediums of these artworks differ; the subject matter is varied; the styles are individual. The thread that links them is the ArtSaturna group itself.  Artists, individual, independent, and sometimes solitary, find comaraderie and support together.  ‘In a Group’ celebrates this collective.

 

As 2022 closes, ArtSaturna invites you to enjoy this show and look forward to the new shows of 2023.

Informal opening on Saturday, December 10, from 3:30 to 5 pm

ArtSaturna members invite the community and visitors to a holiday season exhibition at the Saturna Café, 101 Narvaez Bay Road, Saturna Island.  

Come meet the artists on Saturday, December 10. They will be pleased to chat with you about their work in various media.

 At the Cafe this month, see Accent on Green, textile artworks in a green theme by Andrée Fredette and Ellen Bourassa.

Community art project: Done!

Colleen and Robyn, the leaders of this mural project, returned to Hunter Field and completed the work during a break in the rain.

On a beautiful sunny afternoon, several artists got together for a paint-in.

The mural is really coming to life.

Following that lovely afternoon, the forecast predicts rainy days ahead.
It's just a pause, though. The artists will get back to finish the project
as soon as the weather clears. Stay tuned for updates!
